Red Flags In a Office.
Imagine, you are hurting, probably the most pain you have been in years. You look through google, search “chiropractor near me” and call the first one that comes up. You are able to get in and get seen, you get treated and go on your way. How do you know you made the right decision?
What Should You Look For?
1) No Individualization of care.
The first red flag to look for is treatment protocol. What I mean by this is, does everyone’s treatment look the same. Is the patient with neck pain and low back pain getting the same treatment. How do they treat symptomatic patients vs patients who do not have symptoms. Pain is not the same, and should be treated differently depending on each individual.
2) No Treatment Plans in Place.
Do they make a treatment plan that actually has progress in it. Do they tell you what each phase of care is, and how it is different, and how it is made to benefit you? Or do they just stick with the same thing over and over, hoping to eventually see some progress.
3)Not Working Toward Your Goals.
Are they working towards your goals. Now, everyone’s initial goal is to get out of pain, but do you have bigger goals? Do you want to get back to lifting, playing with your kids, run a marathon, garden without pain, be able to pick things up without pain. They should ask you these things to make a better treatment plan for you, and make sure that their rehab protocols actually fit what you want to achieve.
Why Does This Matter?
These red flags are important to look for and recognize if you are truly looking for long term care. If you see any of the above red flags, then I can almost promise you that the results you are looking to achieve would not be met. Your providers treatment should align exactly with what you want to achieve. Tired of getting the same treatment regardless of the office? Book a Free Discovery Visit to see how we can help!
